i have finally decided to take part in montage... yay.. LOL
tough decision, i know.. but i'm just a sucker for band concerts (and you-know-who).. =)
anway.. its been 2 months since i've joined ntuc.. and like i've said, many things changed..
FOR ONCE, i can converse in hokkien to old aunties and uncles..
and FOR ONCE, they understand what i'm saying..
an improvement considering the fact that i spoke some kind of english-hokkien-teochew-cantonese mix to a very very confused auntie..
today, i'm going to tell u the different species of shoppers i encounter on a daily basis..
1. the 'coconut' man.
- he who never fails to buy at least 12 coconuts.
2. the 'luncheon-meat' uncle.
-28 cans at one go. lets not forget he's the one who paid me 109 bucks in coins.
3. the 'poultry' cum '2 dollar notes' uncle
-also known as 'chicken rice' uncle in mjr.
4. the 'coins in plastic bag' aunties.
-brace yourselves for the attack of the coins.
5. the 'can i change my $20 worth of 5cents with you?' ah ma
-poor thing.. i can never forget the wounded expression on her face when i told her no..
can't really think of anymore.. will update when i feel like it...
