Year 3 begins in less than ten hours.
I am so not looking forward to it.
In the meantime my trusty schoolbag has been equipped with all the stuff that I need for the first day.
Yeah, stuff meaning cables, power adapters, camera dock, and more cables.
I already feel like one of those old technicians in blue overalls you see in those ancient soap operas. Those (men, for your information) who end up having affairs with the lonely female protagonists (old, rich taitais).
Picture this:
1 Rugged, good looking 40-ish year old technician in his techy getup
think blue overalls, yellow helmet, yummy looking work boots (no, not the PCK kind. the black ones with laces)
1 Unbelievably gorgeous wife of a billionaire, deprived of love and companionship (lets just assume the husband is away on a business trip for a couple of errr... years?)
Lonely, attractive woman (LAW): Oh no! Facebook is not responding! GRAHHHH!! *hyperventilates* IMGONNADIEEEE......
LAW hysterically reaches for the phone directory and dials the local tech shop)
LAW: AHHHHHHH HELP!!! I CAN'T LOAD FACEBOOK!!
Bored phone operator: Ok, hang on ma'am, the repair guy will be on his way
-minutes later (yeah, there was no need to ask for an address, because the Unbelievably cute and sexy computer guy (UCSCG) is actually Superman in disguise. And Superman never needs an address because nothing matters more to him than a distressed damsel in an 'I-can't-access-Facebook' situation.)
UCSCG knocks on the door, and was greeted by the most attractive woman he has ever laid his eyes on, LAW.
UCSCG: Never fear, my fair lady, for I have come to save your world from eternal despair.
UCSCG begins to pull out the many different cables from his trusty work pack. (Let's just assume that you'll need that many cables to get Facebook back on track)
- Hours later -
UCSCG:...and voila! It's fixed!
LAW's eyes glistens with tears
LAW: Oh UCSCG! You saved my life, and for that I am eternally grateful!
*Dramatic lovey-dovey/heroic kind of music spills in*
LAW falls into UCSCG strong (and hairy) arms. Their love for each other has reached to the extent that even I, cannot describe with words (or even html).
*Music continues while the screen fades to black*
Where was I... oh, my back-to-school kit.
Yeah, I can't believe I feel like a UCSCG, darn those stupid cables.
Trust me, we'd have to explain to our kids what 'books' and 'paper' are in the future.
All of a sudden the future seems so bleak.
Sigh, first day of school...
Wish me luck!
