Today's good too. Outing to East Coast with chinaboy, ira, mel, peggy and ph. my butt hurts from too much cycling, and my face hurts like dory's did the last time we went fishing.
Didn't manage to find Aunty Mary, she's gone home, so I gave Uncle Hero a curry puff and the rest to the guys. haha.

A splendid weekend spent :) i am now happy and ready for the mundane office job that awaits me tomorrow.

I've changed my mind about the previous post. I LOVE MY JOB.
And it turned out I had an inborn talent for data entry and filing. :D
They gave me a beautiful pass that admits me through any door in the building, AND I HAVE MY OWN COMPANY EMAIL ADDRESS, DESK, COMPUTER, AND PHONE!!!!!!!!! WAHHHH HAHAHHAHAHAHA.. (talk about cheap thrills)

Believe it or not, working in an office sucks big time. I was totally grossed out at how Singaporeans can sit through 8 hours every day in front of a monitor. Especially after lunch. The food just settles at our love handles, refusing to budge. I'm so gonna expand :(
Yeah, I got the job, thank you very, very, very much, lin. So that leaves me with no room to complain because it's my dream temp job. hawhaw.
This may be the last time I'll ever want to work in an office in my life...
and so, I've came up with the revised list of my future job prospects :D

FISHING WITH DORY!

Five years took an hour to mark its last sojourn. What can I say? I'm devastated, but not para suicidal. I've seen it all along, but i've refused its very presence.
no more mind games, no more secret fantasies of having someone I knew I didn't deserve.

Allow me to share my immense dislike for...stuff

the projects for this sem have finally baded their goodbyes, and the exams are trudging in.

everything has been going well (forgive me for mysteriously disappearing for a couple of days) and sheereen and i have a story to tell :)
didn't really conquer the Relay Duathlon. our kayak SANK, and then we capsized halfway into 3km (when most of the people in our category have already started with the 4km run). they've mostly finished their 4km by the time we found our way back on land.
it wasn't a bad experience, really.
i got a nice shirt, funny tanlines, 4 bruises, aching muscles, and i got to drink the water in bedok reservoir (mmm, tasty!)while swimming in the dark, murky water with my shoes on.
and so i had the perfect excuse to miss the 4km run. :D
I'm so gonna join another run. :)

Ok, where was I? yeah, the exams. my attempt to study failed tremendously. I'M STILL AT PAGE ONE! :D thanks to idiot chiouhuey. :D

i've been catching up with my tv (which explains why i found blogging to be a chore, quite recently). watched lots of movies, dramas (finished goong in 6 hours, forwarded through the boring parts), two episodes of "Jeopardy!" and am currently at the first 10 minutes of One Tree Hill.

The entire week has been weird for me. I've been wondering around like an empty husk, devoid of all neccessary emotions. I did everything on autopilot.
Once again, I'm pushing all my deadlines till the very last minute. Running away.
I haven't got the time to blog, I don't even have the time to reply to a message from an old friend.
My life is as messy as my table.

My life has reduced to bird watching, police-calling, and powerpoint-ing.

I need someone to redefine the word "holiday"

The first day of our "well deserved break" went pretty well, considering the fact that I've travelled a total of a hundred thousand miles. To school, from school, to town, back to school, and back home. I've managed to get some miniscule amount of work done, just to be left with ADVERTISING, NEWSWRITING FIELD ASSIGNMENT, TEST ON FINANCIAL STATEMENTS, TV STUDIO PRODUCTION SCRIPTS AND VIRTUOSO SEATING PLAN. I'm proud to say I've spent half my day trying to fit 48 circles into 19 powerpoint slides.
Financial test in 9 hours, I'm pretty much fucked. Don't even have time to take the piss.
I'm going to be really grouchy tomorrow, be warned.

so, much of my time (and money, bloody Hans) was spent in this really tall building with really cool elevators. i swear i could spend an entire day going from level 13 to b1 in the whopping fast elevators. talk about cheap thrills. HAHAHHAHAHHA
evil valerie forced mel and yinny into the lift time and again just to feel the rush of adrenaline and yinny's hoarse screams against my eardrums. mel just prayed.
did i mention that i'm a sick person now? (as in physically sick, not mentally)
bloody influenzasheeshyourassfeverblah. so i get to buy an mc for today (and probably even tomorrow) and spend the entire day eating shrimp cocktail on my bed. :D

Year Two Week One ( Part Two )

Let's just say the first week was "survive-able". lol
meanwhile, i shall start on my "Print/file-all-you-can Sunday". Time to buck up and start working this semester. (I didn't even have to type it down. Dad just asked if homework's done. My bad for telling them about the killer sem. Now my parents are on my back to get everything school-related done everytime i'm at home.)

I can't find my file dividers. :(

Met up with leelin after school. Poor girl's phone died on her and she took it all out on poor(er) val. I swear she went totally apeshit today. and i love it when she does that cos it's not every day you get to see her talk more than her usual self (who, is already very noisy) and since she's so suay today, i decided to let her become queen for the day.
as usual, we embarked on our not-so-long journey to make ourselves look like complete idiots and to do strike off activities on the "Worst things you can ever do with your bestie" list. Kia Motors roadshow were giving out free popcorn. Nice and friendly guy told us to wait for 4 minutes for a fresh batch of them. We returned 2 hours later and she had to have the RED box (in the shape of a car) instead of a silver one.
so i had to tell the guy "she wants the red car." wa piang. free popcorn also want to choose. lol.
basically, we just rotted at suntec. hung out at the arcade for a while, spent two dollars on those cute little machines that will reward sweets and occasionally, a very ugly toy and got ourselves a measly piece of marshmallow. bah.
so we kinda got to the conclusion that we need boyfriends for these cute little machines. its so fun cos you know you'll never get the toy, and what makes it more interesting is that you don't have to spend a single cent on it. and that's where the bf comes in. you pay, we play :)
so fun :D

i got myself a new pair of running shoes (which i hope, can survive bball) at 70 bucks. New Balance, i hope i won't hate them in time to come cos we'll be stuck with them for the rest of the semester.
My dad claims that the shoes will die on me in no time, simply because they were not made for basketball, and because he has never heard of the brand. haha, he's so cute.

Year Two Week One

I'm glad to say i'm still alive.
the only things that drove me crazy were the TWO management modules and my new name "Bruce Lego Lee, Doraemon" thanks to my wonderful haircut.
I swear, i've never seen Brian so happy before. He laughed like a kid today (400 times, for your information). At my hair. Bleargh.
Had a good chat with Cailing after school today, boy, i've missed her!

Time is like my greatest enemy. I hate time.
Sometimes I would just lie back and think about when I was younger.
I missed the times we spent as a family, the weekly sunday outings, the dinners, the birthday cakes. The happy times seemed so distant, so grey.
They're all replaced by work, school, and all the other side projects of our lives.
Dinnertime seems so meaningless now.
I hate time. It's passing right by under our feet. Discreetly.

My life is in clutters. Days of staying at home, going for strings, staying at home, going for strings have become routine. What's more, we're playing the same pieces over and over again, and I've been reminded constantly of how my playing sucks.
I hate routine.
I feel so lost, and yet I force myself to go through this routine, to spend more time with my family and to possibly make up for the time I will never get to spend with them when school reopens. And guess what, I'm still hoping I will not be made to quit strings simply because of my screwed up schedule. It sucks because the thought of it has gotten me pretty high-strung of late.

The great big plan for my life is officially screwed. I can't believe I've actually thought of making to the big U through this hellish route I've chosen to take.
I'll just have to make do with whatever life deals me.
Plan B: Survive MCM, get a decent paying job, survive midlife crisis, retire and spend the rest of my life on a little boat out on a little lake, waiting for the little fish to bite.
Wonderful.
I need a more happening life. Not the "I club alot, wear branded clothes, and then tell the whole world my straight cut jeans are skinnies." kind of happening, but the "I'm dating a gazillionaire who's young, good-looking, and who happens to be smittened with me for the rest of his life. I don't drink and I don't smoke but I still can have a great time laughing with friends who share the same interests as me." kind of happening.

Am pissed with the new timetable. Whoever chucked me into my future class must hate me alot. Yeah, watch me writhe in agony, or try. Because next sem is the time I get to smile at the face of the devil. (sidenote: ooooh. enigmatic, eh?)

I'm not making any sense already. Lack of sleep speaks for itself. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

went for yangyang's class today. finally saw huiyun, zengqi and jiaxue after,what, EONS. it's been so long since we had a combined practice.
Vivaldi's seasons are driving me nuts. Especially when the super hiong parts needed some vigorous bowing. i'm so gonna wear long sleeves for future practices. You could imagine the look of horror i had on my face while staring at my oh-so-fat arms. Vivaldi made them dance around. It was so horrible i wanted to cut them off. HAHA.
Yeah, and since we're only playing 3 out of 4 parts of this great masterpiece, it'd realy suck if i put "four" instead of "three" for the title of this post.
